Storytelling that heals, challenges, and transforms.

About Me

Melissa Serna is a London-based Latinx multidisciplinary theatremaker, performer, writer, and emerging director of Colombian heritage. Her work lives at the intersection of psychology, identity, and storytelling, grounded in a belief that performance is a space for truth, transformation, and healing, creating emotionally rich, socially resonant experiences across theatre, film, and interdisciplinary forms.

More About Me
  • ā€œI can imagine feeling completely ā€˜held’ as a performer in your care as a directorā€

Dr Susannah Henry — Programme Leader: BA Performance Design At Guildhall School

  • ā€œShe was able to hold a space that enabled the performers to generate ideas and make discoveries, she could see which performers did their best work with the freedom to improvise and which performers needed more structure and direction. In this way she facilitated the spirit of each performerā€

Rebecca Jameson — Author, co-maker and director at Miscreation

  • ā€œLovely work. You are so alive and your thoughts are very clear and present. You have a very watchable naturalistic quality.ā€
